The brief
Storage without visual weight.
The room required generous storage, a considered setting for the television and space for objects and books. The design needed to feel architectural rather than like a collection of separate units.
The solution uses a strong horizontal datum, restrained door proportions and warmer oak details to soften the painted cabinetry.
